Today's Breakthrough!

Had a really great tutorial today as was getting myself in a real tizzy about where my research was heading but my tutor has assured me today that not everything has to be done in order! So starting tomorrow I will be putting together some preliminary 3d models of guitar chords. It sounds odd I know but Richard has been helping me to visualise how this will work and hopefully I will have some pictures to add to this blog by the end of the week.

First Ideas

So, the first part of this project has been to brain storm some ideas which I have dutifully done based around the theme of 'Pattern, Communication and Interpretation'. I am thinking about the patterns that music notation creates coupled with it providing a set of instructions. I have been particularly looking at Beez's (Richard's) gutitar tabulation that he uses to decipher how to play a song. He has explained (at length ha ha) how to read it and I am slowly getting there but it is like learning a new language. I have to say I have not been right on top of the project this week as have spent most of it working but I am back to Uni on Monday so will throw myself right at it.
